PEEBLES, OHIO "ITS GOOD" CINCINNATI EMB EARLY 1900 GALLON GLASS WHISKEY JUG PRE PROA nice antique pre-pro 1 gallon jug from Peebles distilling in Ohio. Crusty/crude bottle mold mark on the bottom, and a different manufacturer than those with the bail handles. This one is embossed GG George Goodman.I could not locate this mark in the bottle database. Measures approximately 11" high. Nice captured bubbles in the old glass.Jos.R.Peebles was in the whiskey business in Cincinnati from 1876-1909. Peebles was proprietor of several whiskey brands, including Old Hickory....Old Cabinet 1840....Old Nick...and Peebles Old Cabinet. The company went out of business in 1909, which was long before Prohibition....This is a very scarce gallon whiskey jug from the early 1900 pre pro era.Condition: Very good overall. Residue around - this is pictured. No chips, cracks or damage.Please review the photos carefully

Goodman was amazing in his ability to keep his liquor business operating smoothly and profitably in no fewer than six widely scattered cities.
