The authors presentation copy, signed to the half title and with an inscription to the title page from the author: "For Bernard Stone From Lawrence Durrell 1985". Bernard Stone, Durrell’s close friend, was an author and publisher who wrote the biography on Lawrence Durrell and published some of his earlier works. 

The fifth and final volume from Lawrence Durrells Avignon quintet. This instalment follows the characters as they return to Avignon after World War II. 

In the publishers original cloth with the original unclipped dust wrapper.

 


CONDITION

In the publishers original cloth with the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally lovely. The wrap is also lovely. Internally firmly bound with clean and bright pages. Authors inscription to the title page and half title.
