GRADING :
These terms are used to describe the visual aspect / condition of the record;
for the listenning / playing, i will try to put a detailed description for each record that are put for sale, as they may be audible flaws (static / pressing defects, etc..) not visible.
Some records may be slightly warped whithout affecting playing or listenning, ill try to mention this appart too.
NM : record almost like new, very few defects / flaws, small cosmetic marks (like discoloration of the vinyl) are possible, 2 or 3 very light surface scuffs (when looked under a strong light), will look and play perfect.
EX / VG++ : these kind of records can have a little more superficial marks (very light scuffs / hairlines or white cosmetic marks from pressing) than a NM record (when you check it under a strong light too), if not will show a very clean and glossy surface. (listenning should be excellent unless mentionned).
VG+ : a record still in very correct condition, but will have more obvious flaws than a VG++, like bigger hairlines, several light scuffs (mostly due to getting in and out of the sleeve) or surface marks due to storage or manipulation, but all this when you check it carefully, if not will show a nice and glossy surface.
VG : these records will have obvious signs of playing, like lot of small surface scuffing, thick / white hairlines, needle groove wear, small discoloration of the vinyl due to playing (generally on sides of the record), eventually a very light scratch (that you can feel with a fingernail / in this case ill do my best to precise it) or a small pressing defect (small bubble), but despite of this, it still will be a playable or collectable record, not a trashed one, flaws will be essentially visual and shouldnt cause too much damage to the music unless mentioned.
VG- : a record with lot of marks (hairlines / surface scuffs / needle groove wear or even light scratch), may have lost some gloss, or have big pressing defects, all this should affect the sound / listenning (like "pops" or "ticks" while playing), but some passages or specific tracks may play better (if theres a jump or a big audible flaw, ill mention it).
G+ : a record in bad shape, lot of marks, scartches, eventually may jump (ill try to mention it), will play with parasite noises, eventually worth getting it for the sleeve / jacket if its a rare record.
