This volume, which relates to the works of British painter Simeon Solomon, contains a chapter on his early art, followed by a facsimile printing of his prose poem A Vision of Love, originally privately published in 1871, and a section on his unfortunate decline in his finances after his arrest for soliciting in a public toilets.
Written by Simon Reynolds, a collector of fine art and furniture.
Illustrated with his works, including six colour plates and seventy-four monochrome plates. Collated, complete.
CONDITION
In the original cloth binding. With the original unclipped (unpriced) dust wrapper. Externally, excellent, with only minor bumping to the spine head and tail. Dust wrapper is very smart, with minor bumping to the edges and a few marks to the flyleaf. Internally, firmly bound with bright and clean pages.
